- Overlapping (80%) with USA time (EST) is required for this role, so the candidate should be ready & flexible to work in the client's time zone

Project Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and prototype scalable ETL pipelines and build new API integrations to support increasing data volume and complexity.

You will work on multiple projects simultaneously with a team of 4 engineers, so we expect you to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The client is the venture company that invests and partners with software, and tech businesses.

Responsibilities

Use SQL and Python to help find insights into data and collaborate with business stakeholders on specific projects.
Create ETL pipelines with dbt, snowflake
Use business intelligence tools like Looker and Power BI to create insightful dashboards and visualizations that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code in Python for data ingestion and integration tasks.
Act as a problem solver, employing a creative approach to tackle complex challenges and drive continuous improvement in data strategy and execution.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar role focusing on data integration and management.
Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in API interactions and automation.
Experience creating ETL pipelines using dbt, and snowflake
Solid foundation in SQL and relational database design.
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker and Power BI.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
