Project Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and prototype scalable ETL pipelines and build new API integrations to support increasing data volume and complexity.
You will work on multiple projects simultaneously with a team of 4 engineers, so we expect you to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The client is the venture company that invests and partners with software, and tech businesses.
Responsibilities
- Use SQL and Python to help find insights into data and collaborate with business stakeholders on specific projects.
- Create ETL pipelines with dbt, snowflake
- Use business intelligence tools like Looker and Power BI to create insightful dashboards and visualizations that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code in Python for data ingestion and integration tasks.
- Act as a problem solver, employing a creative approach to tackle complex challenges and drive continuous improvement in data strategy and execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar role focusing on data integration and management.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in API interactions and automation.
- Experience creating ETL pipelines using dbt, and snowflake
- Solid foundation in SQL and relational database design.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker and Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
