- Location - Slovakia, Bratislava. 3 times per week office visiting, they have a lab there. Ukraine is possible

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Embedded Engineer, to become a part of a cross-functional development team working for a project that aims to develop a wireless system for neuro-interface applications. The goal is to innovate and create a solution for neuro-interface technology, improving connectivity and usability in this specialized field
Responsibilities
- Design and implement hardware and software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment without supervision
- Architects entire hardware systems for complex products. Designs scalable and modular platforms.
- Integrates cutting-edge technologies (e.g., latest RISC-V cores, advanced wireless modules)
- Innovates in low-power and energy-efficient designs
- Establishes best practices and processes for the organization
- Interface with firmware design and development
- Integrate and validate new product designs
- Provide post-production support
- Applying state-of-the-art embedded systems design to solve business problems
- Performing research and developing proof-of-concept prototypes
Requirements
- Ability to think in an analytic and structured way
- S/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Proven working 5+ years experience in hardware and software engineering
- Comfortable with defining and/or working with detailed hardware requirements
- Competent at schematic entry and architecture definition
- Good experience and proficiency in Schematic & PCB design using Altium Designer
- Proven experience of taking electronic products into production
- Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment
- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
- Knowledge of Python for test script extension and development
- Understanding of Git workflow
- Ability to mentor/support junior and intern teammates
- Strong English language communication and technical skills
- Strong technical documentation writing skills
- Good presentational and visualization skills. Ability to describe and present results clearly, answer questions, and communicate issues

Nice to have:
- Altium designer related :
- Experience with RF and High-Speed Design ;
- Experience in mixed board design (rigid-flex);
- Experience with HW manufacturing files and specs preparation;
- Ability to build and maintain virtual machines.
- Proficiency in other languages relevant to IoT (Lua, Matlab, JavaScript) might be a plus
- Experience working closely with client representatives to achieve business outcomes
- General working knowledge of agile methodologies
