Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js, React, AWS Serverless) for a media delivery platform

Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for a digital platform that enables guests to easily access, view, and purchase personalized photos and videos taken during their experiences, such as rides at amusement parks or activities at large events.

The platform uses AI to recognize individuals within crowded and dynamic environments such as amusement parks and events, allowing guests to simply upload a selfie to match it with media captured in real time. The platform automatically associates all relevant photos and videos with a user and delivers them directly to their device.

Technical Stack:

Cloud: 

• AWS Mostly (mosty Cognito, S3, SNS, SQS, Serverless Framework,AWS Lambda) 
• Google Cloud Platform (some image processing and other services are still running on GCP, want to migrate to AWS)

Front:

• Mostly React (a few smaller projects are on Vue2, may need migration to Vue 3, but not a priority) 

Back:

• Node.js, TS 
• MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB
• NestJS, REST
• Serverless framework, Kubernetes, Microservices
• Integrations (Stripe, Google Pay/Apple Pay)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js, TypeScript, React, and NestJS.
• Use AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Cognito to create cloud-based solutions.
• Deploy applications with the Serverless Framework, set up continuous integration and delivery, and release new features efficiently.
• Develop dashboards and profile management interfaces.
• Handle authentication, CRUD operations, and microservices.
• Use Cursor and Copilot to help with development, generate tests, and improve code quality.
• Work closely with product and architecture teams.

Requirements

• At least five years of hands-on experience in full-stack application development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS for backend development.
• Solid experience with React and modern frontend practices.
• Practical knowledge of AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Cognito.
• Experience designing and implementing REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with serverless deployment and Git-based workflows.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience using Cursor or Copilot responsibly for best-practice coding.

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time image or video processing pipelines.
• Understanding of AI models for background removal, object segmentation, or media enhancement.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or hybrid database architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Jest or similar unit testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Datadog or AWS CloudWatch.
• Experience with GCP or cloud migration projects.
