Project Overview
The project is being delivered for a product company operating in the PropTech sector. The company develops a digital platform supporting resident experience management and the operational processes of organisations managing large residential property portfolios.

The development team will be responsible for building and enhancing integrations between the company’s platform and an SAP environment.
The integration may involve synchronising data related to:
- properties, buildings and residential units;
- residents and tenants;
- lease agreements;
- payments and financial information;
- maintenance and operational processes;
- other property management workflows.
Developers will work across the full technology stack, including backend services written in Go, web interfaces developed in React, and integrations with SAP and other client systems.
The scope may include API design, data mapping, event and workflow handling, integration testing, monitoring, and resolving data quality and consistency issues.
Indicative Architecture
The expected architecture is likely to follow this general model: SAP and other client systems → integration layer → property management platform → web and mobile applications for employees and residents
This is not a traditional SAP consultant or ABAP developer role. We are primarily looking for experienced software and integration engineers working with Go and React who also understand how data is exposed, processed and synchronised through SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services in Go that integrate the product platform with SAP.
- Retrieve and send data through SAP APIs and integration interfaces, potentially including REST, OData and SOAP.
- Map SAP data structures to the platform’s internal domain models.
- Implement reliable one-way or bidirectional data synchronisation.
- Develop error-handling, retry, idempotency and reconciliation mechanisms.
- Build and enhance React-based dashboards, administrative interfaces and operational workflows.
- Create automated integration tests and support deployment automation.
- Monitor integrations and troubleshoot data flow, quality and consistency issues.
- Work closely with SAP consultants, product teams and the client’s business stakeholders.
- Potentially maintain or extend existing backend components, ETL processes or scripts written in Python.
Required Skills
- Strong commercial software engineering experience with Go.
- Strong frontend development experience with React and TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Practical experience working with SAP integrations is strongly preferred, but we will consider senior developers with Go and React who have limited experience with SAP.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs.
- Good understanding of distributed systems and integration patterns.
- Experience with data mapping and synchronisation between enterprise systems.
- Ability to work independently across the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Good command of English.
Nice to Have
- Backend development experience with Python.
- Experience with OData, REST or SOAP-based SAP interfaces.
- Knowledge of asynchronous integrations, messaging systems and event-driven architecture.
- Experience implementing retry, reconciliation and idempotency mechanisms.
- Previous experience with PropTech, real estate, property management or lease management products.
- Knowledge of residential property management processes.
- German language skills, particularly for communication with client stakeholders or working with German-language documentation.
Candidate Profile
The most suitable candidate will be a senior full-stack or integration engineer rather than a traditional SAP specialist.
The ideal person should combine strong hands-on development skills in Go and React with practical experience integrating modern software platforms with SAP or other enterprise systems. Experience working in complex environments with incomplete requirements, multiple data sources and business-critical integrations will be particularly valuable.
