- We seek a Senior Azure Cloud Data Architect with a strong DevOps and Data Analytics Architecture background, particularly within the Azure ecosystem.
- Possible locations: Gdansk or Wroclaw or Poland remote with readiness to travel to Gdansk or Wroclaw sometimes ( when the client will have visits)
- Project length: 6+ months with possibility to extend

Project Description

We are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Data Architect with a strong DevOps and Data Analytics Architecture background, particularly within the Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a balance between practical technical knowledge and strategic architectural thinking, as well as a clear understanding of e-commerce and retail business use cases.

Responsibilities:

E-commerce domain experience:

Store stock management, product pricing
Ensuring quick and reliable data flow from source systems to destination
Understanding the challenges of event-driven architecture and data redundancy

Architecture Thinking:

Ability to explain architectural decisions and trade-offs
Event Grid vs. Event Hub use cases
Azure Service Bus usage
Pricing and performance optimization expertise

Additional Considerations:

Domain knowledge in retail and examples of solving real-world business challenges
Demonstrable experience working on projects involving data hosting, microservices, and serverless functions

Requirements:

Azure Data Ecosystem:

Event Hub, Event Grid (key focus)
Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse
Cosmos DB, Azure Storage (understanding of Page Blobs vs Block Blobs)

Development & Architecture:

Data transformation workflows (storage to relational DB)
Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Serverless Architecture
Good knowledge of microservices, Kubernetes, KEDA, and Envoy

SAP Integration:

SAP involvement is expected at a later stage (quick data flow from SAP to Azure)

Optional but Preferred Skills:

Python development knowledge
