Summary

- We seek a Senior Groovy/Grails Developer who would help assess the code from a security standpoint.
- Possible locations: Ukraine or Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic (Direct Hire, B2B)
- Project length: 4-5 weeks
- Upper-Intermediate English.

We are looking for a Senior Groovy/Grails Developer to help assess the code's security.

Technical Stack:

Code:

  • Around ~20 git repositories
  • They store code in BitBucket and GitLab.

Programming languages:

Backend:

  • Languages: Groovy (older code), Java (newer code)
  • Frameworks: Grails, Spring

Frontend:

  • Language: Grails, TypeScript, React

Frameworks:

  • Also Grails tech stack (server-side rendering).
  • Some parts are in AngularJS (some older versions),
  • React (dashboard, newer part, admin site and some other parts as well) -> NextJS

Architecture

  • Single monolith with some smaller (micro)services.
  • Communication: RabbitMQ, HTTP, REST API

3rd party software

  • DropWizard, RabbitMQ, Memcache, Auth0, S3 for file storage, Amazon RDS

DevOps

Hosting:

  • HW: On-Premise servers, Cloud: Azure, Kubernetes

Providers:

  • Azure, Vercel (new React parts), AWS Kubernetes
