About the role
Join our team as a Middle and Senior JavaScript Developer and play a key role in shaping the future of our client's platform frontend. As part of a cross-functional development team, your work will directly impact scaling the platform to handle heavy loads and achieve global reach. Collaborating closely with our talented tech team, you'll bring fresh ideas—whether inspired by user feedback or market trends—and help us make smart, lasting decisions that drive success. The challenge: 1 million users rely on our platform, and we aim to scale to 50 million. Stability and scalability are critical as we enhance the framework, improve robustness, and optimize key features like authorization, routing, and component interaction. It’s a demanding role, but the reward is immense—you’ll shape our frontend approach and elevate the experience for millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Refactor legacy code step by step to enhance performance and resilience.
- Help our full-stack developers improve their front-end expertise through mentoring and training.
- Develop and maintain the component library.
- Collaborate with multiple product teams and our innovation lab to drive front-end advancements.
Requirements
- For a Middle - Proven track record of 5+ years working with JavaScript and Vue.js.
- For a Senior - Proven track record of 3+ years working with JavaScript and Vue.js.
- A proactive approach to challenges - you know how to identify problems, propose solutions, and contribute to the team’s growth.
- Experience in improving scalability, performance & maintainability of code.
- You know how to build things - from scratch.
- Your English is solid—because clear communication keeps the team in sync!
Tech stack:
- The front makes use of Vue.js 3 (must have), Pinia, Vite, JS
- Front-end UI component libraries (Vue, Vuetify, Quaser, JavaScript, Vue, CSS/SCSS, Vite, Vue CLI, Webpack
- For our mobile app: Ionic and Capacitor combined with Cordova.
- The code is hosted in a monorepo in GitLab and deployed with GitLab CI/CD.
- We use Docker for containerization purposes.
- We deploy in the cloud, using Scaleway as our cloud provider.
