Implementation and Customization: Oracle FLEXCUBE UBS 

Description: Worked as a developer on customization of Oracle Flexcube UBS to develop a solution for banking PDM as per guidelines of State Bank of Pakistan. The same system was then converted into a standalone product to support some of the widely used UBS in Pakistan. The entire system has been developed, tested, audited, and delivered for production, currently running in one bank and two more are going through UAT.

Responsibilities:

• Extensive involvement in requirement gathering, designing, and development of the project throughout its timeline.
• Project briefings, walkthroughs & demos, and training.
• Lead a team to conduct on-site User Acceptance Testing (UAT) at various stages.
• Conduct meetings with clients to finalize testing strategies and timelines.
• Address the identified issues and provide solutions through code changes and software maintenance.
• Documentation of the system.

Migrations and Business Intelligence development: Upgrade to FLEXCUBE 11.3

Description: Implemented and migrated Islamic banking from legacy system to Oracle Flexcube UBS v11.3), and developed BI reports facilitating client processes. The whole system was implemented with various customizations and the data migrations were carried out after successful UATs. Separate UATs were conducted for reporting module. Around 50+ branches migrated in phase 1 after verifying and validating system data – removing all discrepancies in data left after migration routines – successful ETL for various financial modules of the bank, in phase two we developed PL/Sql-based BI reports that were merged to “Core Banking / Universal Banking Solution” by utilizing EXTENSIBILITY FRAMEWORK of Flexcube.

• Data migration lead.
• Performed successful data migration of up to 50 branches of the bank by creating ETL scripts.
• Designed and developed BI reports on Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
• Conducted on-site UATs for migrations and BI reporting.
