Median Salary Expectations:

How statistics are calculated

We count how many offers each candidate received and for what salary. For example, if a Appian with a salary of $4,500 received 10 offers, then we would count him 10 times. If there were no offers, then he would not get into the statistics either.

The graph column is the total number of offers. This is not the number of vacancies, but an indicator of the level of demand. The more offers there are, the more companies try to hire such a specialist. 5k+ includes candidates with salaries >= $5,000 and < $5,500.

Median Salary Expectation – the weighted average of the market offer in the selected specialization, that is, the most frequent job offers for the selected specialization received by candidates. We do not count accepted or rejected offers.

Appian

What Is Appian Used For?

Appian provides easy-to-use low-code software development technologies that allow everyone in the company, from business users to professional developers to citizen developers, to build powerful robust enterprise-level business applications on their own. Through Appian, businesses can quickly build powerful applications to automate and streamline the business’s unique and complex processes and workflows that encompass staffs, customers, systems, and devices. When companies apply Appian, they can considerably accelerate their digital transformation initiative, and ensure efficient operations, increased agility and productivity to gain further competitive advantage.

Appian comes with powerful analytics and reporting to empower your business to make decisions backed by real-time data, focusing you on strategic missions and operational excellence.

For instance, if your IT team has been stretched to a breaking point in terms of ‘new capabilities to build’, you can’t afford to develop apps through endless lines of code. Low-code app development helps speed solutions to market so businesses can react quickly to market needs.

Your organisation can ideate, build and deploy apps with Appian low-code so far ahead of your competitor that they’re still drawing the outlines on their whiteboard. Low-code lives up to its name. Using templates and drag-and-drop design, you can rapidly bring together your application and what takes months for hand-coded app development can take mere weeks when you use low-code. From idea to launch, with low-code, your organisation can let the competition trail far behind.

Why Low-code and why Appian?

Here are some of those characteristics to better explain Appian features, what is Appian used for, that make this the right low-code development platform for you:

Speed

The world moves at a relentless pace today, so if you slow down, you lose! You need results, and fast. You need to transform your work and your processes, but you can’t afford to take months and months, and years and years, to get them done. That’s why Appian embeds speed in the heart of your operations. Now it’s no longer slower, no longer drudgery, and no longer a mammoth development effort to get things moving. It’s 20 times faster than traditional development. And there is more – Appian comes with a whole series of business accelerators and applications which are pre-built and ready to go: just plug them in to what you already have, and go!

It’s Simple to Use

To learn why Appian is such a clean way of approaching this problem domain, you need to understand that it supports simplicity from development to use. While other coding/development environments can be approached without a formal education in computer science, it often requires weeks to years of learning before you can ‘hit the ground running’. In contrast, you can learn Appian in days, with a minimal amount of technical background experience. This begs for the question of what simplicity even means, since it’s a relative term that carries various interpretations when assessing business-impact drivers. In this context, we’re not referring to complexity in mathematical terms, but rather referring to complexity in thinking and learning.

You might interpret this as an easy-to-use interface. Perhaps through your experiences using legacy systems, you’ve formed lasting and negative perceptions of modern technologies, and expect them all to be hard to learn and complicated to use. Or perhaps, you’ve accepted the conventional wisdom offered to you from your IT department and your partners, who compare newer technologies to legacy systems. After all, technology is technology, is it not? And legacy is simply better understood than newer alternatives. But this is where technology users get hopelessly flustered. After years of being exposed to legacy systems (BlackBerry mobile devices and Windows desktop and servers), you’ve grown accustomed to how things work.

Easy to Design

Imagine that you need to automate a business process for the HR department. Even if the technical solution to the problem is generated by the IT department, where next-level needs (e.g., forms or documents in other formats) might surface, leading again to requesting the assistance of IT. Why Appian? Because it ensures that you could have it all with a set of self-explanatory, intuitive tools allowing easy use to even business users, which ultimately provides a fast development and delivery, at scale, across operations.

Unifies Data

One of the more frequently cited challenges of enterprises is that they lack the means to collect, store and deconstruct raw data into actionable information. Data is power; the power to affect real and meaningful business conversion. While Appian allows you flexibility in where and how you store the data, what it does for you is to simplify how you visualize it. Another reason why Appian matters. It delivers a 360-degree view of real-time data on any topic to promptly answer relevant information. This enables you to generate actionable insight, spot the pain points, and sustain the continuous improvement.

Intelligence Enabled

Appian enables value creation beyond mere automation through people, AI, systems and robots, turning Hyperautomation a reality! The platform offers native AI services and no-code integration with industry-leading platforms. The platform connects and unifies enterprise systems and data to empower workforces for intelligent automation. There are several reasons why Appian is beating the low-code market:

  1. Eliminate all the monotonous repetitive tasks and free time to think creatively, innovate and solve more complex problems, leading to a compound increase of productivity and decrease of resource costs; all this and more in one platform.

Cloud Capability

Everything is in the ‘cloud’ these days. Oh and by the way, that is the fastest way to develop! It’s flexible, virtualizes your infrastructure, provides support for reliability, collaboration, and makes development quick and easy. While most Low-Code platforms incorporate some level of cloud capability, security, reliability, and scale are such important factors that you should look into thoroughly before onboarding on to a Platform. Appian passes with flying colours on all these: it provides the flexibility of moving on the public cloud, on-prem, or a hybrid of both, and meets more industry standards than any other vendor. In terms of high availability on the cloud, it offers the shortest recovery point objective (RPO) at 1 minute and is thus highly suited to mission-critical enterprise applications. It also offers unmatched 99.95% SLA uptime, and its architecture is designed to keep data loss to a minimum or nearly zero. Finally, Appian’s security configuration has been rated A+ by Qualys SSL Labs. Right now, it is one of the most secure ways to transmit data. It incorporates a range of other certifications and compliances, such as ISO 27001:2013, DISA Level 4 (IL4), PCI-DSS, UK G-Cloud, and many others.

A Leader in BPM

No longer about orchestrating workflows or integrating systems, BPM is now executed on an agile delivery methodology: enabling enterprises to build and deliver apps fast to revamp business operations. Not only are you bringing people, processes and data together with Appian, but you are also able to usher in refined processes in addition to building enterprise software and solutions to automate business processes and bring about an experience that can help revolutionize your operations and enhance your productivity a hundred-fold. Low-code BPM, the most transformative business process automation on the market, still belongs to Appian.

Easy to Optimize

Flaws and inefficiencies can be discovered at any stage of the process! It’s easy to change process and rules in Appian to make the application more efficient and simplify operations. All interactions between processes are recorded by an Appian Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) analytics engine so that any further detailed analysis – whether it is aggregating how long something took to perform, or whether it is benchmarking groups’ or overall tasks – can create views that allow for key business insights to be made by using process performance data in combination with enterprise data.

Multi-channel Experience

It’s a multi-channel world and businesses need to be perpetually connected to customers, wherever they go and from any device. Appian connects across channels (web, mobile, email, chat and voice). Now you can infuse a multi-channel experience across all Appian journeys – and stop the cost and complexity of building point solutions to support each channel. End the need to build twice for each platform. With Appian, you build it once – then it runs across channels with no additional development effort or costs i.e., it’s mobile, right out of the box.

Future-ready

Appian offers sustainability; not just helping you succeed today, but tomorrow too. Markets are evolving faster than ever before. You need to move fast. And that means your apps need to move fast too. Your IT teams are likely exhausted, spending more and more of their time keeping yesterday’s apps running. Which leaves them with less and less time for change and innovation. Appian offers a great way to reduce this burden. As an example, imagine you deliver a core app solution. A core app cannot always be a ‘throw-away’ app. Appian is designed to allow for limitless application scalability. As you develop more solutions, you will be working on shared data schemes, shared UX patterns, shared upgrades. And as those around you ask you to ‘do more with more apps’, Appian will make it easy to scale up as required, without draining your resources or your time.
