20x Active Users for Airdrop Platform with Telegram Mini-App and Chatbot

Case study demonstrates how the integration of a Telegram chatbot and a mini-app helped the airdrop platform to expand its user base by more than 20 times. The use of Telegram as a convenient channel for interacting with the community has led to a rapid increase in user engagement. Thanks to this integration, the platform was able to expand its community more effectively and retain existing customers.

Challenges

  • With the number of airdrop campaigns on the platform almost doubling, the project faced the need to expand its audience and attract new customers;
  • More than 40 thousand active users needed high-quality and fast support, as well as the ability to manage airdrop subscriptions, receive news, and reminders through their personal account in the Telegram chatbot;
  • Creating a Telegram mini-application to promote airdrops, attract new users, and expand the project’s community;
  • Infrastructure optimization to support the growing load (estimated 1 million users daily).

Solution

  • Telegram Chatbot: Telegram chatbots are an innovative solution for business development, automation and optimization of business processes, an additional channel of marketing activity, interaction with clients and the target audience. In a short time, the first version of Telegram Chatbot was developed and launched, allowing users to manage their subscriptions, and receive reminders and news. Optimization of the multi-threaded version of the chat server accelerated the interaction between the bot and users.
  • Web3 Tapping Game: The play-to-earn (P2E) model is a good example of one of the benefits of blockchain gaming, enabling players to earn rewards that can be exchanged for real-world money. Designed and launched game with account registration, new token advertisement, integration with TON wallets, accrual of bonuses via user actions, and leaderboard to achieve gamification within a month.
  • Optimisation of infrastructure: When it comes to optimization without transferring applications to the cloud, i.e., on-premises, the most challenging task is a detailed analysis. To perform it, you need to clearly understand how the users of your product act, when the peak loads happen, how much capacity is required to withstand these loads, and the product development strategy for the future.
    Optimised the infrastructure for processing 600,000 users daily, as well as optimised MySQL with a storage capacity of up to 1 TB. Implemented asynchronous processing using SQLAlchemy to process the data in an optimal amount of time.

    50k chatbot users in the first month rapidly grew to stunning 900k active users in just four months.
  • Web3 Tapping Game
    The game was designed and launched from idea to launch in less than one month, which allowed to attract > 1 million users in total.
  • On-premise Infrastructure Optimization
    Adopting multi-processing and asynchronous service model secured smooth user experience, handling 600-900k users simultaneously: app activity, pop-up messages, email notifications and updates, real-time game events and much more.

About the Client

The project is a dApp marketplace that allows users to be a part of different airdrop campaigns with the use of web3 protocols. The platform is set up to make it easy for the users to get involved in airdropping, and generate passive income through the automation feature, using the simple one-click interface. The project’s main focus is to attract the maximum number of users to participate in airdrop campaigns and automate receiving drops through the platform.
