How statistics are calculated
We count how many offers each candidate received and for what salary. For example, if a Embedded Software developer with a salary of $4,500 received 10 offers, then we would count him 10 times. If there were no offers, then he would not get into the statistics either.
The graph column is the total number of offers. This is not the number of vacancies, but an indicator of the level of demand. The more offers there are, the more companies try to hire such a specialist. 5k+ includes candidates with salaries >= $5,000 and < $5,500.
Median Salary Expectation – the weighted average of the market offer in the selected specialization, that is, the most frequent job offers for the selected specialization received by candidates. We do not count accepted or rejected offers.

Embedded Software
Embedded systems form the foundation of vital infrastructure for the IoT, automotive, medical, and smart home fields. This table shows how embedded systems have become an indispensable and increasing aspect of life in virtually all areas of technology and modern living.
Internet of Things (IoT):
Paraphrase: Embedded systems, sometimes called microcontrollers, enable devices to autonomously sense, process, analyze and transmit information.
Applications: These are found in everyday devices such as refrigerators and factory machinery.
Connectivity: Use communication protocols and cloud connections that enable features such as remote control, centralized monitoring, and analysis.
Automotive:
Role: Central to enhancing vehicle functionality and safety.
Applications: Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), Infotainment systems, vehicle Dynamics Control and Safety ECUs (including autonomous driving and electric vehicle control) for example.
Functionality: Handle complex tasks like sensory data processing and real-time decision-making for vehicle navigation.
Healthcare:
Role: Embedded systems are at the forefront of emerging healthcare technologies.
Applications: Fitness bands and smartwatches that record vital signs, pacemakers, and portable diagnostic tools.
Benefits: On a small scale, improve patient care and enable telehealth by facilitating continuous monitoring and critical data analysis.
Smart Home Technology:
Role: Improve home energy efficiency and operational convenience.
Applications: Lighting, heating, security, and entertainment control systems, remote from phones or tablets.
Features: Systems communicate with embedded controllers within appliances to streamline home management.
Security and Energy Efficiency:
Security: A higher level of connectivity also implies higher vulnerability to cyber-attacks and the need for embedded security measures at the firmware and hardware level.
Energy efficiency: In light of sustainability concerns, reduce the carbon footprint associated with the increasing embedded systems deployment.
Future Trends and Innovations:
Why won’t continuous evolution be seen when it’s right in front of our noses? It already is there, but it already isn’t. Existing embedded programming continues to change in response to the then-now of constant technological adoption and innovation. Small, powerful embedded systems will help mainstream AI, machine learning, and autonomous computing, increasing the power and autonomy of the next generation of technologies.
